Saudi Passports issues over 19,500 penalties for residency violations in Rajab

RIYADH — The General Directorate of Passports has issued 19,559 administrative decisions during the month of Rajab 1447 AH against citizens and residents found in violation of residency, labor, and border security regulations. The penalties, issued through the directorate’s administrative committees across passport departments in various regions, included imprisonment, fines, and deportation, according to official figures. The Passports Directorate warned citizens, residents, and business owners against transporting, employing, sheltering, or assisting violators of residency, labor, and border security regulations, or covering up such violations in any form, including providing employment, housing, or transportation. It called on the public to cooperate by reporting violators through the unified emergency number 911 in the regions of Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and the Eastern Province, and 999 in other regions of the Kingdom. Authorities stressed that all reports will be handled with complete confidentiality and that informants will bear no legal responsibility.
