Joel Embiid took the court for the entire second half after Philadelphia struggled when he was on the bench in the first. However, despite his efforts, the All-Star center failed to score in the fourth quarter.

Jalen Brunson had just wrapped up the most prolific playoff game of his career, marking the highest individual scoring performance by a New York Knicks player in postseason history. However, he was not impressed by his own feat. Brunson avoids discussing his personal achievements.
Instead, he was struck by the fervor of the Knicks fanbase, which invaded Philadelphia, overtaking the arena and making life difficult for Joel Embiid and his teammates. Despite Brunson's remarkable performance of scoring 47 points and dishing out 10 assists, the Knicks secured a 97-92 victory over the 76ers, seizing a commanding 3-1 lead in the first-round playoff series.
Brunson had previously showcased his scoring prowess with a 41-point outing for Dallas against Utah in 2022 and another notable performance for the Knicks last year against Miami. However, the latter came in Game 6, which marked the end of the Knicks' season.
Determined not to let history repeat itself, Brunson ensured a different outcome on Sunday. Despite a crowd seemingly divided between major Northeast cities, the arena echoed with fervent support for the Knicks as the game reached its climax.

Reflecting on the passionate fanbase, Brunson, a self-proclaimed Eagles fan, acknowledged the relentless nature of Philadelphia supporters, drawing from his experiences at Villanova. Yet, he found the presence and sound of Knicks fans in the arena to be a refreshing and exhilarating sight.
However, the enthusiasm wasn't shared by Embiid, who had to endure louder chants of "MVP! MVP!" for Brunson than for himself, the reigning MVP.

Expressing his disappointment, Embiid noted the situation as unfortunate, recognizing the tendency for Knicks fans to travel for away games, particularly the short trip to Philadelphia.
